How it works.

If labour begins before your scheduled delivery date, contact Rural Care Co. as soon as possible and we will coordinate a rush delivery based on your location and availability.
Once you've connected with your midwife and reached the 12-week mark, we recommend reserving your pool early to secure availability around your estimated due date. Delivery and set up will typically happen around 37 weeks.
Rural Care Co. provides birth pool rentals throughout Red Deer and surrounding central Alberta communities, including areas such as Sylvan Lake, Innisfail, Lacombe, Olds, Rocky Mountain House, Penhold, with delivery fees varying by location.
Our Complete Birth Pool Rental includes the ivory white pool, liner, cover, air pump, sump pump, water hose, tap adapters, twinkle lights, thermometer, delivery, setup, take-down and pickup. A Basic Rental with the pool, liner, air pump, delivery and pickup is also available.
Yes. With the Complete Birth Pool Rental, Rural Care Co. will deliver, inflate and set up the pool around 37 weeks and walk you through how everything works. When labour begins, you or your birth team will fill the pool and prepare it for use.
Absolutely! Birth pool rentals are available as a standalone service with optional doula, pre-natal, and postpartum support available if you'd like additional care.
If your birth plans change, let us know as soon as possible. Your birth pool rental fee is fully refundable before delivery of the pool; once the pool has been delivered, the rental is non-refundable.
The birth pool and all reusable rental equipment must be ready for pickup within 48 hours after your birth, unless another arrangement has been made with Rural Care Co. Late returns may be subject to a $100 per day fee.
